Staff Software Engineer

We’re looking for a staff-level engineer to help set the technical direction for Sycamore’s core platform. You’ll work across the stack — from agent orchestration and trust systems to the developer-facing APIs and interfaces.
What you’ll do
- Drive the architecture and technical strategy for Sycamore’s platform
- Make foundational decisions on systems design, data models, and APIs
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar on engineering quality
- Ship code — this is a building role, not a planning role
What we’re looking for
- Track record of designing and shipping complex distributed systems
- Experience leading technical efforts across teams or organizations
- Strong opinions, loosely held — you can navigate ambiguity and make tradeoffs
- Interest in AI agents, trust systems, or enterprise infrastructure
